Biography

Maggie is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores different mediums and is inspired by fantasy, nature, and whimsical storytelling.  In March of 2022, Maggie began creating The Book of Reverie—an illustrated series set within a visually rich world that features characters built around her IP.  The ongoing story creates a bridge between web3, real-world activations, and physical goods in art, design, fashion, and toys.  In 2022, Maggie won the World of Women’s Creative Storytelling Award and has since been highlighted in NFT Now as a female founder building the future of Web3.

statement

and vision

The TrippyPrint ApeCar was inspired by the imagery and core values that define both BMW and BAYC culture. Before diving into the car's visuals, I explored the common threads between these two worlds and discovered that they align over four main pillars: innovation, tech, top-tier design, and a strong community culture. I wanted the ApeCar design to embody these pillars while also showcasing my personal aesthetic—unique, colorful, and above all, fun.

My favorite trait in the BAYC collection is trippy fur, which became the inspiration for the color palette and the tagline: "It’s not about the destination, it’s about the TRIP." The final concept is a 1:1 print designed for a 1:1 car—a trippy fingerprint that’s layered over the car’s exterior. It accentuates the curves of the body, is bold yet elegant, and will turn heads whether it’s parked or flying down the Autobahn.

Verbiage and paint colors from BMW’s website seemed to align well with the design concept.  When I discovered the staircase in the BMW Museum, it was a huge bright light for me that called out, “There’s no limit to imagination” and “challenge the status quo.”  I also stumbled upon an old BMW print ad that asks the reader to “join the club”…sounded familiar.
